Site settings
Site settings are values used across your whole website at once — social media links, a contact email, an announcement bar, the headline font. Change them once and every page follows.
Opening site settings
Click Settings in the left rail. The panel lists every setting your theme offers, grouped under headings such as Announcement bar, Contact or Social links; click a heading to open it. Which settings exist is up to your theme — if the panel says your theme has none yet, ask your developer to add the ones you need.
Previewing a change
As you change a setting, the live preview beside the panel shows the result a moment later — a new announcement appearing, a different font — before anything is saved. Nothing reaches your visitors yet, so try things freely. Switch the preview to another page with the address bar to check how the change looks there too.
Saving
When you’re happy, click Save Changes at the top. Site settings have no draft step, like menus: saving puts the change live straight away, on every page, and records it in the site’s history. Discard Changes puts every setting back as it was. If you try to leave with unsaved changes, the admin asks first.
If someone else saved the site settings after you opened them, your save is stopped rather than silently overwriting theirs. Reload to see their changes, then make yours again.
