Getting started with the admin

The admin is the only tool you need to run your site day to day. This page covers logging in and finding your way around — no git or code required for anything covered in this track.

Logging in

Your agency or platform administrator will give you a URL and a login. If you were invited by email, follow the invite link to set your own password first. Once logged in, you land on your site list.

Note

One admin login can have access to more than one site — useful if you manage several client sites, or several sections of a larger business. Sites you don’t have access to simply won’t appear in your list.

The site list

Selecting a site takes you into that site’s own workspace. Each site shows its current status at a glance — reachable and working, unreachable, or an access problem — so you know immediately if something needs attention before you try to edit anything.

Finding your way around

Inside a site, a rail down the left takes you to the five main areas, with a live preview of the site beside whichever one you’re in:

Along the top, the address bar shows which page the preview is on; click it to search for any page by name and jump straight there. Beside it, the device buttons show the preview at desktop, tablet or phone width. Your account, your team, and the sites you manage are under your account menu in the top corner — see Account & team.

A page can be in one of three states

You’ll see this status everywhere a page is listed:

StatusMeaning
LivePublished and visible to the public right now.
Draft onlyNever published — only you (in preview) can see it.
Live + draft pendingCurrently live, with further unpublished edits sitting on top.

This is the single most important thing to understand about editing in Minamo: saving your work is not the same as making it public. See Drafts, preview & publishing next.
