Media library
Every image and video you upload goes into your site’s media library, ready to be picked wherever a section or block has an image or video field.
Uploading
Open Media in the left rail, then either click Upload or drag files from your computer anywhere onto the media panel — the panel shows “Drop files to upload” while you’re over it. You can also upload from within an image field while editing a page.
- Images: JPG, PNG, GIF and WebP.
- Video: MP4 and WebM, for short, silent clips that play in the background of a section. Longer videos belong on YouTube or Vimeo, embedded in the page.
SVG uploads aren’t accepted — if you need an SVG (a logo, an icon), that’s something for your developer to add to the theme.
Uploading the exact same file twice doesn’t create a duplicate — Minamo recognises identical files by their content and reuses the existing one.
Finding media
Search by file name, and use the filter to show everything, just images, or just video. Click a thumbnail to see it larger.
Using media on a page
- From a field: any image or video field opens the same media picker — browse what’s uploaded, or upload something new on the spot, then select it.
- By dragging: with a page open, drag a thumbnail from the media library onto an image in the live preview to replace it.
Upload limits
Each site has a maximum upload size, set by whoever manages that site’s technical configuration (10MB is the default). If an upload is rejected for being too large, resize or compress the file before trying again, or ask your developer to raise the limit.
Deleting media
Unlike pages, media has no history and no undo. Deleting a file removes it for good — and if it’s still used on a page, that page will show a broken image. Check a file isn’t in use before deleting it.
